BACKGROUND: It is a common belief that a laparogoing laparoscopically assisted right hemicolecscopic procedure results in a shorter duration of tomy compared to the dog undergoing open right postoperative ileus compared with the equivalent hemicolectomy. This data does not support the open procedure. This study was undertaken to hypothesis that a laparoscopically assisted codetermine whether laparoscopically assisted right lectomy results in a shorter duration of posthemicolectomy in the dog results in a shorter duoperative ileus than the equivalent open proceration of ileus compared with open right hemicodure.
